VFX Breakdown → Compositing of a 3D liquid snake on a filmed human arm for the FME trailer (Festival de musique émergente).

For this trailer directed by Dominic Leclerc, we explored a surrealist approach to evoke dreamlike unexpected musical discoveries made possible by a music festival remote from major centers.

3D Cube → Multiple pivots animation to simulate translation movement. Exploration of TCB rotation controller to compensate for slightly curved paths caused by limitations of the Euler XYZ rotation controller.

2D animation on 3D mirror alpha planes involving Parameter-out-of-range types for a procedural "ping-pong" looping mode.

Integration of the vibration principle in an animation of a springboard using a Bend modifier driven by a multiplier curve (of a value less than 1 to divide the amplitude of the oscillation) and an ease curve (to multiply the recurrence of the oscillation over time).

Animation of a jump exploring heavy-light properties with 2 principles:

    • Anticipation

    • Secondary action

The duration of the action is the same for each of the 5 instances. The only variations concern the "spacing", as well as the duration of the anticipation and the duration of the secondary action. Variation in mass perception therefore only concerns the “before” and “after” of the main action (jump).

Motion collage : For this experimental animated sequence, non-continuous seagull pictures were assembled on a timeline scaling time to produce "parasite" intervals which contributed to movement singularity through shattered continuity.

Creative exploration for Sound Week (2024)

The animation was presented as part of Unesco Canada Sound Week (03-24-18) in a collective video work directed by Alain Joule → Télépoésie N°5 : Vers un voyage sonore

Cube → 3D Twist Warp Animation

Warp via Twist modifier animation using moving boundary thresholds.
